October 2026
With winter quickly approaching, many of us are rushing to finish projects before the snow flies. It won’t be long before we’re preparing for the first snowstorm of the season.
I hope everyone had a great season. Thank you for the hard work, dedication, and care you brought to your projects and to our industry throughout the year. As we wrap up October and turn our attention to winter, I hope you’ll take a moment to reflect on all you’ve accomplished. Let’s hope the snow holds off for as long as possible.
Fall Field Day was a great success! We had an excellent turnout and a wonderful lineup of speakers. It was a valuable opportunity for networking, education, and fun. We look forward to doing it again next September.
We have one final event this season: a commercial holiday lighting installation at Waterville Valley on November 17. Experience the impact of a professionally designed holiday lighting installation, where thoughtful layout, color balance, and precision create a stunning nighttime display. Come and go behind the scenes of The New England Holiday Light Company with a tour of the town Square in Waterville Valley and their holiday lights display! We hope to see you there! This event will be held on November 17, 2026 at 5:30pm. Location: 33 Village Rd, Waterville Valley, NH 03215.
We currently have four open board seats, as well as several committee positions available. Would you like to help plan the future of the New Hampshire Landscape Association? We meet once a month, usually virtually. I’ve really enjoyed serving on the New Hampshire Landscape Association board. It’s rewarding to volunteer alongside such a great group of people who care about our industry. I especially enjoy helping organize events, attending them, and seeing so many familiar faces having a great time while learning about topics that matter to us.
I hope you’ll consider getting involved—whether by joining the board or volunteering for a committee.
Thank you for being part of the New Hampshire Landscape Association. I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve as your president and look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events. If you’re interested in getting more involved, please reach out—I’d love to help you find a role that’s a good fit.
Warm regards,
Lisa Mitrano
President, New Hampshire Landscape Association
