RECERTIFICATION

RECERTIFICATION

Certification must be renewed each year. The recertification deadline is January 15. In order to renew, 5 recertification credits must be earned. The manual and recertification form provide more information on ways to obtain recertification credits. A Certificate of Attendance or other evidence must be supplied for non-NHLA activities. To renew, complete the recertification form and mail it along with a check for $40.00 made out to NHLA to the address on the form or submit online.

Recertification 2023

The Certification Committee has initiated a graduated approach to reinstate credit requirements. FOUR CREDITS will be required to maintain certification for 2023, therefore, 4 credits must be earned from January 1, 2022 and December 31, 2022. FIVE CREDITS will be required to maintain certification for 2024 and the years to follow.  New credit opportunities are available through NHLA, other professional associations, and university extensions.  As always, proof of attendance is required.  Other credit opportunities are available through the Certification Committee. These include assisting in the development of study guides for prospective and existing NHCLPs and sharing your NHCLP story by writing a Featured Professional article for the Newsletter.
