Soil Health Twilight Meeting

August 10, 2021 @ 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Kirkwood Gardens
900 US 3

Soil health is the foundation for profitable, productive, sustainable, and environmentally sound landscaping. Healthy soil contains minerals as well as water, air and organic matter. Healthy soil is teeming with bacteria, fungi, insects, worms and other organisms, as well as plant roots. Building and maintaining soil health is key to growing vigorous and resilient lawns and gardens.

Olivia Saunders, UNH Cooperative Extension expert on soil fertility and manager of the Soil Testing program, will discuss the basics of soil science and soil health.

Scot Flewelling, Branch Manager of The Dirt Doctors, will talk about proper mulching and the pros and cons of different mulch options.

If you work in landscape maintenance, construction or fine gardening, this is a Twilight Meeting you won’t want to miss.

This event is free, but you must register here.

NH Landscape Association and UNH Extension are partnering this event.

NH Certified Landscape Professional credits will be awarded.
